  24. People like to insult Ronaldo backhandedly because of his insane mental strength, and goal scoring ability on his weaker foot (better than naturally left footed players bar Messi), but this guy has the most assists in CL history.

    He is only 15 goals away from having the second most assists in history of football.

    When they finish their careers, Ronaldo will have the most goals, and the first to 1000+ goals , Messi will come second. Ronaldo in my view clearly he better goal scorer but still one of the greatest goal scorers.

    Ronaldo will have the second most assists behind Messi, while Messi will remain with the most assists in football history.

    And in my view, Ronaldo 2008-2013 is the peak any footballer who is not named Messi has ever reached. I think he is either very close, or on the same level as peak Messi, they are different players in one sense so hard to totally compare, but have unique skills they are the greatest of all time in.

    Both work hard, and both are naturally talented. Messi more naturally talented but Ronaldo insanely naturally talented. People like to insult Messi by saying it is just all talent and he is lazy, and people like to insult Ronaldo by saying no talent just hard work.

    And isn't a strong mind and crazy insane work ethic and passion a super power, far more relatable to humanity?

    But we have to respect both, and i think both are equal GOATS in their primes.

    To win a game to save my life, i would start Messi in the first 55 minutes, but sub him off for Ronaldo in the last 35 minutes. If i had only 35-40 minutes to go and i had to bring a player in their Prime to win me a game, due to their passing, vision, football IQ, goal scoring, clutch moments, in all of football history i would say Ronaldo, no doubt.

    For all 90 minutes, in a Barca team its Messi.
